A machine learning derived plant growth algorithm is generated from the plant growth pattern, the vital statistics of the soil in the pot and other environmental parameters. This planter-specific AI generated pattern can predict future plant growth based on current nutrition level in the soil, moisture level in the soil and other environmental parameters. The AI algorithm, through user interface, keeps the grower informed regarding the health of the plant and prescribes the appropriate steps to keep the plants in good health.
The Smart Sensor with integrated controller and broadcaster tracks the soil and environmental parameters and calculate a "Fertilizer Index" with optimum accuracy. This fertility index recommends the necessary steps to boost the growth. The sensor system is inter-connected over the network and transfers data to the cloud for remote monitoring. We have performed multiple research experiments to study the effectiveness of our organic farming system. During the most recent experiment, using the same amount of fertilizer, our farming system produced 123% more tomato and 94% more basil compared to the conversional container-based farming system. Our system also used 72% less water compared to the convensional container-based farming system. Our sensors also recorded significantly higher soil fertility and better water retention capacity in our system. The video was recored during the experiment.
